Wednesday Wonder: Ingenious Design

Thomas Heatherwick is an architect but that title hardly suffices to describe the ingenious, innovative, and stunning designs he and his team produce. Take 17 minutes and let yourself be awed by some of the more recent projects that have come to fruition. As you will see, nothing remains ordinary when it's conceived and made purposeful by Heatherwick Studio.

This talk is part of "The Artist's Palette" series at TedEd.

Heatherwick is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects and a senior research fellow at Victoria & Albert Museum. He has received a number of prestigious awards, including the Lubetkin Prize and London Design Medal. Go here to learn more about Heatherwick Studio. The firm's "Garden Bridge" is expected to open in London in 2016.
